About SendYourBooks

What is SendYourBooks?

SendYourBooks is a reading subscription that gives you access to over 50,000 books and delivers them directly to your Kindle (or lets you read them right in your browser) for one low monthly price. Think of it as a library that fits in your pocket and works with the devices you already love.

Who is behind SendYourBooks?

SendYourBooks was built by a team that worked closely with the people behind Books A Trillion, a reading service that thousands of members relied on before it closed in early 2025. We took everything they learned about what readers actually need and built something better, more reliable, and designed to be around for the long term.

What happened to Books A Trillion?

Books A Trillion shut down in early 2025 following a civil lawsuit alleging trademark infringement due to the name's similarity to Books-A-Million. The Books A Trillion team never intended to infringe on anyone's trademark. The name was always meant as a playful spin, a fun nod to reading a lot of books, not an attempt to copy or confuse. But courts focus on outcomes, not intentions, and the lawsuit forced the service to close. It was a hard ending for a team that genuinely cared about their members.

Is SendYourBooks the same as Books A Trillion?

SendYourBooks is not Books A Trillion. We are a new, independently built service. But we did not start from scratch. We worked directly with the Books A Trillion team to understand exactly what worked, what did not, and what members wished they had. Everything they learned over years of running the service is built into what we made. The result picks up right where Books A Trillion left off, and then takes it considerably further.

I had a Books A Trillion lifetime membership. What does that mean for me now?

We wish we could honor those memberships. The honest truth is that we are a separate company from Books A Trillion, and we did not acquire their business or their member contracts. We cannot absorb the cost of free accounts and still build the platform our members deserve.

What we can do is give you the lowest price we can offer while still keeping the lights on. The $4.99 per month plan was set with the returning Books A Trillion community specifically in mind. It is close to what the old monthly plan cost, and it gives you access to a genuinely better experience than what Books A Trillion was able to offer.

Why is this not free for Books A Trillion members?

We hear you, and we take this seriously. Here is the honest answer: Books A Trillion ran on a one-time payment model, and that model ultimately could not fund what the service needed to grow. For months the team wanted to build an app. They never could, because the revenue was not there to support it.

A subscription model is what lets us actually improve, maintain, and build the things readers ask for. The $4.99 tier is as low as we can go while still building something worth using. And as a beta member, you get in before anyone else at that lowest available price.

Pricing and plans

Why monthly instead of a lifetime membership?

A few reasons, and all of them work in your favor. First, it keeps the service alive and improving. Books A Trillion tried the one-time payment model. It could not fund the infrastructure needed to grow. The app they talked about building for months never happened, because the money was not there.

Second, it protects you. With a large lifetime fee, if a service ever closes, you have lost what you paid. With a monthly subscription, you are never locked in. Cancel anytime from your account.

Third, the math works out fast. One book a month at $4.99 already puts you ahead, since a single ebook typically costs more than your entire monthly membership. Most members download more than $60 worth of books in their first hour.

What does $4.99 per month include?

The $4.99 plan gives you access to our full library of 50,000+ titles, up to 10 sends or downloads per month, real-time book request tracking, the ability to submit and upvote book requests, complete self-service account management, and full access to the SendYourBooks reading app (which works right in your browser, no Kindle required). You can upgrade or downgrade anytime.

What does $9.99 per month include?

Everything in the $4.99 plan, with no cap on sends or downloads. Unlimited, every month. If you are a voracious reader or you are planning to work through a backlog of titles, the $9.99 plan is built for you.

Is there a free trial?

We do not offer a free trial at this time. But at $4.99 a month, the risk is pretty low. Download one book you have been meaning to read and you are already ahead on value.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You manage your entire membership from your account, including cancellations, upgrades, and downgrades, all without contacting anyone or waiting for a response.

How it works

How do books get to my Kindle?

When you find a book you want, you click send. We deliver it directly to your Kindle using a dedicated sending address we set up for your account. The first time you use it, you will add our address to your Amazon approved senders list. It is a quick, one-time step and we walk you through it with a guided setup and a test send so you know it is working before you leave the onboarding page. After that, books go straight to your Kindle with no extra steps on your end.

Do I need a Kindle?

No. Every book in our library is available to read right in your browser through the SendYourBooks reading app. It works on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can install it to your home screen so it feels just like a real app, and it works offline once you have opened a book at least once.

Can I pick up where I left off across different devices?

Yes. Your reading position, highlights, and bookmarks sync across every device you use. Start on your phone, continue on your tablet, right where you left off.

What reading features does the app include?

The reading app is a full-featured reader. It supports continuous scroll or page-by-page reading, highlighting, bookmarks, tap-to-look-up word definitions (works offline), accessibility options including a dyslexia-friendly font and high-contrast themes, reading streaks and yearly stats, and the ability to export your highlights. It is designed to feel like a real reading app, not a web page.

The library

How many books are in the library?

Over 50,000 titles and growing. The library covers romance, thrillers, mystery, self-help, literary fiction, science fiction, biography, and much more. If something is not there yet, you can request it.

What kind of books are in the library? Are they legitimate?

Every title in our library is either in the public domain (free for anyone to enjoy and share) or made available with permission. We care about the authors and creators behind every book we carry. If you ever have a question or concern about a specific title, we genuinely want to hear from you. Reach out and we will look into it promptly and in good faith.

Can I request books that are not in the library?

Absolutely. Every member can submit book requests. Requests are public, so other members can upvote the titles they want most. The more upvotes a title gets, the higher it moves in our fulfillment queue. You can track every request you have submitted or upvoted in your personal profile. When a request is fulfilled, it stays in the public list with a completed badge and a direct link to the book.

The beta

What is the beta?

SendYourBooks is launching as a private beta limited to the first 1,000 members. The live spot count is visible right on the site and it reflects the real number. This is not fake scarcity.

The beta is how we test, learn, and make the platform better before a full public launch. Beta members get in at the lowest available price, and their feedback directly shapes what we build next.

What happens if the beta fills before I sign up?

You can join the waitlist. We admit members from the waitlist in batches as capacity opens up. Your referral link works from the waitlist too, so you can still earn your way toward the front.

What are the 3 invites I get as a beta member?

Every beta member gets 3 personal invites. Your invite is your referral link, and it carries skip-the-waitlist power. When someone signs up through your link and becomes a paying member, they skip the waitlist, and you earn a free bonus month at the $9.99 unlimited tier. Bonus months stack, so the more people you bring in, the more free reading you bank.

What happens when the beta ends?

The 1,000-member cap lifts, the public counter retires, and SendYourBooks opens to everyone. Your referral link keeps working exactly as it always did.

Privacy and trust

Is my account information safe?

Your account and payment information is handled securely. We use a dedicated, protected checkout environment and we do not store payment credentials on our servers. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Support

How do I get help if something is not working?

We have a real support team and we read every message. You can reach us at support@sendyourbooks.com or through your account. Unlike Books A Trillion, SendYourBooks has a dedicated team actively building and responding to member feedback. If you run into something, we want to know.

Can I give feedback or suggest improvements?

Yes, and we actively want you to. Member feedback is one of the main reasons the beta exists. Use the feedback option in your account or reach out directly. Suggestions from real members have already shaped features in this platform, and that is not going to stop.
